Online Screen Recorder

Record your computer screen right in your browser with no software, no account and no watermark. Capture the entire screen, a window or a tab, include system sound and your microphone, show your face in a floating webcam window and download the video as MP4. The recording never leaves your device.

Pick the screen, window or tab in the browser dialog that follows.

What to record

Audio

On Windows with Chrome, tick “Share audio” in the picker. On Mac, only tab audio can be recorded.

Camera

Show your face in a floating window that appears in the recording.

Quality

Format

100% private

The video is recorded and saved on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.

Tip

To capture the sound of a video or meeting, choose the tab and enable “Share tab audio”. Turn it into a GIF or MP3 →

How it works

1

Choose what to record: entire screen, window or tab.

2

Turn on system sound and microphone if you want narration. Tap Open floating camera to appear on video.

3

Tap Start recording and pick the screen in the browser dialog. Tick Share audio to capture sound.

4

After the 3-2-1 countdown, do your thing. Use Pause and Resume whenever you need.

5

Tap Stop, review the video and download it as MP4. Optionally trim the start and end first.

Record your screen without installing software

Modern browsers include the same screen-capture feature used by video calls. This recorder uses it with MediaRecorder to save the video locally: perfect for tutorials, lessons, bug reports, presentations and meetings.

Quality and file size

At 1080p and 30 fps, one minute takes roughly 30 to 60 MB. Use 60 fps for games and fast motion, and 720p for long sessions. Trim the result here, or use the Video and Audio Converter to compress it, extract MP3 audio or make a GIF.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The site is supported by ads, so you never pay or need to create an account.

Is there a watermark or time limit?

No watermark and no time limit. For very long recordings the practical limit is your computer's memory; prefer 720p for hours of footage.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. The browser records locally and the video stays in your computer's memory until you download it.

How do I record system audio?

Keep System sound on and tick Share audio in the browser picker. On Windows, Chrome and Edge capture full system audio; on Mac only tab audio is available, so choose Tab.

Does it work on phones?

Mobile browsers can't record the screen. Use Android's Screen record quick setting or iPhone's Screen Recording in Control Center.
