How it works
Enter an IPv4 address (e.g. 192.168.1.100 or 10.0.0.1).
Select your CIDR prefix (/8 to /32) from the dropdown or click a quick preset button.
Review network ID, broadcast IP, first/last usable host range, wildcard mask, and binary conversion.
Frequently asked questions
What is CIDR notation?
CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain Routing) notation specifies a subnet mask by counting consecutive leading 1-bits (e.g., /24 denotes 255.255.255.0, allocating 24 bits for the network and 8 bits for host addresses).
Why are 2 IP addresses subtracted from usable hosts in a subnet?
In standard IPv4 subnets, the all-zeros host address represents the network identifier itself, and the all-ones host address is reserved for broadcast packets.
