Rebar Cut List and Weight Calculator

Organize pieces by diameter, cut length and quantity. Review nominal weight and a stock-bar cut plan with an adjustable kerf.

Measurement and material estimate

Specified pieces

Stock bars
2
Nominal cut-piece weight
39.146 lb
Nominal purchase weight
46.975 lb
Bars at 0.472 in

Cut plan by diameter

  • 0.472 in
    • 2 × [4 × 8.202 ft] · offcut per bar 6.562 ft

Enter cut lengths already specified in the project. The plan groups diameters, fits longer pieces first and accounts for kerf. Weight uses the nominal circular section and entered density.

Report a problem

How it works

  1. Enter stock length, steel density and kerf.

  2. Add the diameters, cut lengths and counts specified in the design.

  3. Review cut patterns, offcuts and estimated purchase weight.

Frequently asked questions

How are cuts placed?

The calculator sorts each diameter's pieces longest first and uses the first bar with enough space. A piece that uses the full remainder needs no additional cut.

What length should I enter?

Use the developed cut length from the design, including any specified bends and hooks. The tool estimates stock quantities and cuts.
