    How it works

    1. Select or drop up to 12 still JPEG, PNG or WebP photos.

    2. Compare the source metadata blocks with the verified copy. See GPS location, camera and capture date when those EXIF fields are readable.

    3. Download individual PNG files or collect the clean copies in a ZIP archive.

How to remove location data before sharing a photo

Photos can store capture coordinates in an EXIF block. The Before column shows coordinates when the tool can read them. The After column confirms that the new copy was checked. Share the downloaded PNG and review the picture itself for identifying details such as addresses, license plates or faces.

What changes in the metadata-free copy?

The remover renders the photo and writes the pixels to a new PNG at the displayed dimensions. The copy has a new file name and leaves the original metadata blocks behind. It may be larger than the source, especially when starting from JPEG or WebP.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need to upload my photos to a server?

Photo processing and ZIP creation happen in your browser.

Which formats and sizes can I use?

Still JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 12 files per batch. Each photo can be up to 25 MB, 25 megapixels and 8,192 pixels wide or tall. The combined copies are limited to 160 MB.

Why isn't GPS shown in the Before column?

The column shows EXIF values the tool could read. A photo may lack a GPS field or may store it in a block that is only listed as a category, such as XMP.
