Edit your PDF without installing anything: fix text, write anywhere on the page, highlight passages, draw, insert images, sign and leave comments. Rotate, delete, duplicate and reorder pages and download the final file. Everything happens in your browser, so your document is never uploaded to any server.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The site is supported by ads, so you never pay or need to create an account.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. All editing happens in your browser and the file never leaves your computer or phone, so you can also use the tool with personal or confidential documents.

How does editing the text that is already in the PDF work?

When you click a passage with the 'Edit text' tool, the editor covers the original text with the background color and writes the new text in the same place, using the closest standard font (sans-serif, serif or monospace). It works well for most text-based documents, but the original font may not be identical, and scanned pages (images) have no text to edit.

Does covering or replacing text really remove it from the file?

No. Covering or replacing a passage only changes what is displayed on the page: the original text stays inside the file and can be copied by anyone who knows where to look. To permanently hide sensitive data, use a dedicated PDF redaction program.

Is a signature added here legally valid?

It places an image of your signature on the PDF, which is a simple electronic signature: it uses no digital certificate and, on its own, does not prove who signed or that the file was not changed afterwards. If in doubt, check with the recipient or a lawyer.

Can I fill in forms or edit password-protected PDFs?

Form fields are not editable yet in this version (you can write over them with the text tool). Password-protected PDFs need the protection removed before opening.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The page adapts to your screen and does not require installing any app.
