How it works

  1. Enter wall dimensions in feet, then unit dimensions and mortar joints in inches. Use actual unit dimensions and enter fractions such as 15 5/8.

  2. Add doors and windows by their position from the left edge and height above the floor, all in inches.

  3. Review the running-bond drawing and the purchase estimate for full and half units.

Frequently asked questions

How does the calculator handle doors and windows?

It removes each opening from the course drawing. Units that cross an opening or wall edge are trimmed in the layout.

Does the estimate reuse offcuts?

The purchase estimate budgets a full unit for each cut. Check the half-unit size offered by your supplier before ordering.
